Help small businesses
look their best online

We are a remote-first team of 64, designing, building and looking after websites for the bakeries, clinics and studios that keep a neighbourhood going. We would like to work with you.

Why work here

Good work, for people who notice

Our customers are business owners, not developers. Making their lives easier is the whole job, and it is a satisfying one.

Remote-first

Work from anywhere in Canada. The team spans four time zones, and the Vancouver office is there when you want it.

Work you can see

Every week a bakery, a clinic or a studio goes live on something you built or fixed. The customers write back.

Health and dental

Full health, dental and vision cover for you and your family from your first day.

Real time off

Four weeks of holiday to start, and your birthday off. Holidays are planned so nobody comes back to a pile.

Learning budget

A yearly allowance for courses, books and conferences, and time in the week to use it.

Sane hours

No hero culture. On-call is shared, paid, and planned weeks ahead.

How we hire

Four steps, and an answer every week

No trick questions and no unpaid homework. We are as interested in whether you would enjoy the work as in whether you can do it.

  1. Step 1: Send us a note

Your CV, or a link to work you are proud of, and a few lines on why this role. No cover-letter template needed.

  2. Step 2: A first conversation

Thirty minutes with the person you would work for, about the role and about you. We answer your questions too.

  3. Step 3: A small, paid task

A piece of real work, kept to a few hours and paid for, so both sides see what working together is like.

  4. Step 4: Meet the team

A conversation with two future colleagues. You hear from us within a week of every step.

Don’t see your role?

Tell us what you do and what you would like to work on. Good people are worth making room for.
